Horticulture Science Pathway
Our Horticulture program at Lakewood Ranch officially started in 2014. Our program offers a unique experience for those students interested in the plant industry, landscaping, botany, nursery business, or any plant related field. Our program is developed from the FNGLA (Florida Nursery Growers & Landscapers Association) Horticulture Professional Manual and Certification. Students will complete a full honors three course program that leads the Horticulture Professional Certification. This certification is one of the most widely recognized certifications in the industry. With a greenhouse, shadehouse, and garden, students will gain a hands-on experience in the wonderful world of plants. The course descriptions and course pathway are listed below.
