Animal Science Pathway
The Animal Science Pathway explores the animal industry in a whole new level. The beef industry, dairy industry, poultry industry, and swine industry are the main focus of this pathway. Students will learn the internal and external anatomy of all livestock, nutrition, handling, safety, reproduction, and so much more! Students will be able to earn their Animal Science Certification during this program. The course series and description is displayed below.

Course Description: This honors science course is designed to develop competencies in the areas of agricultural history and the global impact of agriculture; career opportunities; scientific and research concepts; biological and physical science principles; environmental principles; agriscience safety; principles of leadership; and agribusiness, employability, and human relations skills in agriscience. Laboratory-based activities are an integral part of this course. These include the safe use and application of appropriate technology, scientific testing and observation equipment.

Students will work toward their certification in Animal Sciences produced by the Florida Farm Bureau.
